Every August, Korea's largest rock festival lands in Songdo, Incheon. The 2026 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival runs for three days, July 31 (Fri) to August 2 (Sun), at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park, daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. — three full days of domestic and international bands under the midsummer sky.
Pentaport isn't just a concert; it's a whole festival culture you live in for a weekend. You spread out on the lawn, drift between stages, and lose yourself in music all day — a different experience from a standard concert. It draws a large international crowd every year and is one of Korea's signature music festivals.
Multiple stages run at once, so you build your own timetable, roaming freely between the lawn and the stages. From the huge main stage to small stages where you discover rookie and indie bands, the range is wide — it rewards spending the whole day rather than coming for a single act. It also overlaps with Korea's summer monsoon, so rain is common enough that it's nicknamed the "rain festival," famous for sing-alongs that carry on through the downpour. That's why a rain poncho is considered near-essential.

If the festival alone feels like too short a trip, pair it with a stroll through Songdo Central Park or other Incheon sights as an overnight. For more on the city, see Incheon.
