2. Suwon — A walking tour combining city walls and alleys
The first choice is Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. We suggest a flow where you arrive at Suwon Station, move to the Hwaseong Haenggung Palace area, visit the palace in the morning, Haenggung-dong for lunch, and walk around Banghwasuryujeong Pavilion in the afternoon. If you aim to walk around the entire city wall, your meal and rest times might be cut short. Even if you want to see other attractions in Yangpyeong, do not consider the Yangsuri and Yongmun areas as short walking distances. If you don't have a car, focus on one area, and even for car travel, it's better to reduce the number of times you move parking lots. Prepare an outer garment to protect against the riverside wind and comfortable shoes.
4. Chuncheon — Train travel and a walk along Soyanggang Riverside
For Chuncheon, it's best to use ITX-Cheongchun or Gyeongchun Line to get there, and then plan local transportation from the arrival station to your dining spot and the riverside separately. If you think you can start sightseeing immediately after checking the train arrival time, you might lose time waiting for buses or traveling. For lunch, choose a meal to your liking, such as dakgalbi or makguksu, and in the afternoon, focus on a walk along Soyanggang Riverside. If you don't include several outlying tourist attractions in your riverside walking itinerary, you'll be less likely to rush for your return train.

5. Gongju — Baekje history and royal city center accessible by bus
In Gongju, focus your day around Gongsanseong Fortress, Sanseong Market, and Jemincheon Stream. When choosing intercity or express buses, confirm the actual arrival terminal and travel to your first destination. KTX Gongju Station and the city bus terminal are not the same location, so it's difficult to conclude that the entire journey is more convenient just because the train is faster. Even if you go by car, if you start around Gongsanseong Fortress and combine the market and alleys for walking, you'll reduce the need to constantly move your parking spot.
Gongju City's Gongsanseong Fortress Information includes viewing and transportation details. The fortress has slopes and stairs, so don't plan your itinerary at the same pace as a flat walk. If it rains, you can shorten the long walking section of Gongsanseong Fortress and consider visiting the National Gongju Museum. 6. Gangneung — A beach trip securing round-trip seats first
Gangneung is the course among the five options where you'll want to allow ample time for local travel. Even if you go from Seoul by KTX, Gangneung Station is not directly on the beach. First, confirm your return seats and then combine one area: the city center's market/Wolhwa Street and Anmok Beach, or the Gyeongpo area. If you try to include Anmok, Gyeongpo, Jumunjin, and Jeongdongjin all in a single day, you might spend more time traveling than enjoying the scenery. For a first-timer, it's more satisfying to have a meal, coffee, and a walk at one beach location.

7. What to check before departure and criteria for shortening courses
It's easy to compare costs by dividing them into round-trip transportation, local transportation, admission fees, meals, and parking. When the number of people increases, toll fees and parking fees for cars can be divided, but road congestion does not disappear. If the purpose of your trip is a walk, a mode of transportation that causes less fatigue on the way back might be more important than close parking.
